You buy this product on a contract basis, priced per terabyte (TB) of storage. Four options let you match the deployment to your setup. The AWS Cloud File Server runs the cache entirely in AWS. The Enterprise 3-Site and Enterprise 5-Site options sync files across multiple office locations and the cloud, differing by the number of sites covered. The Design Collab. 5-Site option supports design collaboration across multiple locations. Each option scales by the terabytes you commit to, so you add capacity by increasing the TB quantity.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one terabyte (TB) of billed capacity actually cover in this product?
Each TB is a unit of cloud storage you commit to across your namespace. Hot files stay cached locally on your CacheDrive gateways for fast access, while the full capacity lives in the cloud. You add capacity by increasing the TB quantity on your contract.
What distinguishes the Enterprise 3-Site, Enterprise 5-Site, and Design Collab. 5-Site options for my bill?
The Enterprise 3-Site and Enterprise 5-Site options sync files across three or five office locations respectively, plus the cloud. The Design Collab. 5-Site option covers five sites and adds design collaboration for architecture and engineering tools. You pick the option matching your site count and workflow, then commit by TB.
How does the AWS Cloud File Server option differ from the multi-site sync options?
The AWS Cloud File Server runs the cache entirely in AWS with no on-premises hardware, suited to VPN and cloud desktop clients. The multi-site options sync files across physical office locations using local CacheDrive gateways. Both are billed per TB of committed cloud storage.
