Vasion earned its reputation by providing a feature-rich, secure, and easy-to-use serverless printing infrastructure with their Vasion Print product. Vasion Print converts legacy print environments into highly available, centrally managed direct-IP printing systems. The Vasion Platform offers Vasion Print for simplified end user printing, Vasion Output for business critical printing, and Vasion
Automate for business process automation.
There are two versions of Vasion Print. One is a true SaaS implementation that eliminates the need for traditional print-server infrastructure, hardware resources, licensing, or maintenance. The other is an easily updated virtual appliance for on-premises use with equivalent functionality.
The Vasion Virtual Appliance VA is part of our on-premises platform. The Virtual Appliance is typically a great fit for companies that want the benefits of our serverless printing infrastructure but need tighter control over their print environment.
Vasion Virtual Appliance solution helps customers maximize their investment in virtual infrastructure designed to reduce unnecessary hardware, software, and ongoing maintenance costs.
The VA has been called SaaS-in-a-box because it is a parallel delivery system for the same
application. The VA is a complete, unitized solution that is ready to install, including a server OS,
web services, network environment, and the Vasion Print application.
The VA includes a timely and easy update system that lets customers get the latest features and
improvements. Features become available soon after they are pushed to Vasion Print SaaS.
Key components include: (1) a self-contained management server, (2) a small app that is installed
on every workstation (known as the Client), and (3) an enhanced client for additional services
that is a shared resource (known as the Service Client). The latter is installed on a workstation
that remains powered on.
Moving to a VA provides several important benefits. These are derived from new technologies, the
architecture itself, and a more timely updating process.
-- As preconfigured, pretested solutions, VAs are easier to evaluate, quicker to deploy, and
less expensive to maintain. They reduce the costs and complexities associated with OS and
hardware configuration, easing the burden on IT.
-- New features are available more frequently and updates are easier. Application updates are
available soon after they are pushed to the corresponding SaaS platform. Once the update is
downloaded, the old version is detached from persistent storage, and the new one is attached.
-- VAs are more secure on several fronts. Their low-profile operating environment is less exposed
as an attack surface. The OS and platform elements are updated more regularly, reducing
vulnerabilities. Developers gain tighter control because VAs provide content verification and
integrity checking based on public-key infrastructure.
-- VAs free up IT resources for more customer-oriented tasks such as training, support, and
continuity of service. And, if something goes wrong, a VA is a single-vendor solution with one
point of accountability.

This listing offers one pricing dimension for the Vasion Print Virtual Appliance, an on-premises deployment within your private cloud. You pay a price per print queue, applied to the 25-49 license band. Your cost scales with the number of print queues you license in that range. The Virtual Appliance model does not use fixed public rates. Instead, you contact Sales at aws@vasion.com to arrange customized pricing and a private offer suited to your queue count and environment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one print queue for billing?
A print queue is a configured printer destination that routes jobs to a physical or logical printer. You license one queue per printer destination you manage. Your license band covers 25 to 49 queues, and your cost scales with how many queues you set up in that range.
How does the Virtual Appliance model differ in where the software runs?
The Virtual Appliance deploys on-premises within your private cloud, rather than as a hosted service. You run and manage the appliance in your own environment. It supports print management and output automation features. Some capabilities available in hosted models are not offered on this deployment type.
Does adding output automation or security features change what I license?
Output automation is licensed per print queue that uses it, separate from base print queue licensing. Secure Release Printing and Off-Network Printing require an Advanced Security Add-on. For pricing on these additions and your queue count, contact Sales at aws@vasion.com to arrange a private offer.

Incredibly Easy Printer Deployment That Eliminated Our Printer Tickets
Reviewed on Jul 22, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Incredible ease of use for deployment. I manage 170 printers and deployment is second nature. Printer tickets dropped to esentially zero from moving away from traditional print servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting leaves a lot to be desired. I have to build a custom SNMP application to get detailed reporting on things that should be built into printer logic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Printer mapping and deployment on non-persistent VDI. I will fight anyone who tries to make me leave printerlogic.

Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
PrinterLogic has saved countless hours installing and updating drivers.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you need to set up a one-off driver to handle a specific special project, either you use a license to set up the modified driver, or have to set the driver up manually on a PC. This downside is more circumstantial, and not really a fault of PrinterLogic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PrinterLogic saves hundreds of hours of our time to install and upgrade our printer drivers.

Easy Printer Installs and Flexible Control with PrinterLogic
Reviewed on Jul 13, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to install printers, prevent users from accessing other printers, and the flexibility of PrinterLogic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of installing the agent on Mac and Windows devices could be smoother. I wish you offered a bundled option that would generate an installation package for both Mac and Windows with our authorization code already included, so we don’t have to create it manually ourselves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PrinterLogic solved our problem of having to maintain a print server and everything that comes with it. Now our printers are easier and quicker to install.
