    AWS Well-Architected Analysis

     Info
Every IT environment is unique, but they share common key concepts and best practices. AWS Well-Architected analysis provides a consistent way to assess how ready an application is to run in the cloud — and where it falls short. ORBIT runs the review and, if you want, the remediation that follows. We plan the analysis carefully from start to finish. An introductory meeting presents the process and agrees scope, then workshops focused on each pillar of the Well-Architected Framework take your stakeholders through the current state of the environment against established best practice. We identify the areas of high and medium risk, then give you a prioritised improvement plan aligned to your needs, priorities and goals, together with a scope of work for the improvement phase. We can remediate the high and medium risk areas ourselves, or hand the plan to your team. Delivered by architects and engineers with extensive experience from large cloud projects in the financial sector.

    Overview

Check whether your infrastructure is reliable, secure and cost-effective.

Every IT environment is unique, but they share common key concepts and best practices. AWS Well-Architected analysis takes you from those universal concepts to your specific estate, providing a consistent way to assess how ready an application is to run in a cloud environment — and where it falls short.

    WHAT THE ANALYSIS GIVES YOU

Minimised risk across your individual environments. Optimised cost, for both the environment and the applications running in it. Improved operational efficiency and performance. Fewer outages and greater resilience. Security weaknesses identified and addressed.

    HOW WE RUN IT

We plan every Well-Architected analysis carefully from start to finish, so the time your people spend on it is time well used.

Introductory meeting. We present the whole process to your stakeholders, agree the scope of the workloads under review and confirm who needs to be in the room for each session.

Workshops. We run a series of workshops focused on each pillar of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, in which your stakeholders review the current state of the environment against established best practice. The workshops are where the real findings come from: the discussion between your architects, engineers and operations people surfaces what no automated scan will.

Analysis. We identify the areas of high and medium risk and set out what each one means in practice for your environment.

Improvement plan. You receive a prioritised plan that aligns with your corporate needs, priorities and goals — not a generic list of findings, but a sequence of work that reflects what matters to your organisation and what is realistic to deliver.

Scope of work. We prepare the scope of work for the improvement phase, so the findings can be acted on rather than filed.

Improvements. We remediate the high and medium risk areas, bringing the environment and applications into line with AWS best practice. This phase is optional: some customers take the plan and execute it with their own teams, and the analysis stands on its own if that is what you prefer.

    WHY ORBIT

A highly specialised team of architects and engineers focused on cloud modernisation and security projects, with extensive experience from large companies and cloud projects in the financial sector. Our specialisations are financial institutions, cloud architecture, security solutions, cloud compliance and cost optimisation. The AWS practice is led by Martin Gavanda, AWS Cloud Architect Lead at ORBIT.

Reviewing environments for regulated customers means the output has to survive scrutiny from outside the engineering team. Banks and insurers make up much of our client base, which shapes how we evidence findings and document the improvement plan.

Customers include Accace, Czech Savings Bank, Creditas, DR. Max, E-on, Erste Group, Generali, J&T Bank, KB, MONETA Money Bank, NLB, O2, Raiffeisenbank, SKB Bank, Skoda, Societe Generale, Tatra banka, Volkswagen and Zentiva.

    HOW WE ENGAGE

This is a professional services offering, so the scope is always tailored to the workloads under review, your environment and your priorities. Scope, deliverables, timelines and commercials are captured in a Statement of Work agreed with you and transacted through AWS Marketplace as a private offer. Contact us to arrange a no-obligation scoping call.

    Highlights

    • A structured review that produces a plan, not a list of findings. Workshops focused on each pillar of the AWS Well-Architected Framework take your stakeholders through the environment against established best practice, surfacing what no automated scan will. We identify the high and medium risk areas, then deliver a prioritised improvement plan aligned to your corporate needs, priorities and goals — with a scope of work attached, so the findings can be acted on rather than filed.
    • The improvement phase is optional, and yours to choose. We can remediate the high and medium risk areas ourselves, bringing your environment and applications into line with AWS best practice, or hand the plan to your own team and step away — the analysis stands on its own either way. Delivered by ORBIT's architects and engineers, who specialise in cloud architecture, security, compliance and cost optimisation, with extensive experience from large cloud projects in the financial sector.
