Fully managed IBM MQ messaging middleware on AWS for secure point-to-point and
publish/subscribe integration across hybrid cloud and distributed applications.
IBM MQ SaaS Reserved Instance is a fully managed, enterprise-grade messaging middleware service hosted natively on AWS. Built on IBM MQ Advanced, it provides secure, reliable, and scalable messaging for business-critical applications using both point-to-point and publish/subscribe messaging patterns. IBM MQ SaaS helps organizations modernize application integration, accelerate cloud migration, and connect workloads across AWS, on-premises data centers, IBM Cloud, and IBM Z environments. IBM manages deployment, patching, upgrades, monitoring, security hardening, and platform operations, allowing teams to focus on delivering business value rather than managing messaging infrastructure. IBM MQ SaaS is designed for mission-critical workloads requiring secure, exactly-once message delivery, high availability, and enterprise-grade resilience.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing has one pricing dimension: the Capacity Unit. You buy entitlement in Capacity Units, and each unit gives you 5 Virtual Processor Cores (VPC) of MQ SaaS entitlement. Pricing scales with the number of Capacity Units you commit to under this reserved instance contract. To add more processing capacity, you add more units. The reserved instance model means you commit to entitlement for a fixed contract term rather than paying based on hourly or on-demand usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one Capacity Unit actually give me in terms of processing power?
Each Capacity Unit includes 5 Virtual Processor Cores (VPC) of MQ SaaS entitlement. A VPC is a measure of processor capacity assigned to your managed message queue service. To grow capacity, you buy more Capacity Units, each adding another 5 VPC of entitlement.
What happens to my cost if I need more processing capacity during the contract?
Capacity scales in blocks of 5 VPC per Capacity Unit. To handle more workload, you add more Capacity Units. Cost rises with the number of units you commit to. Because this is a reserved instance contract, you commit to entitlement for a fixed term rather than paying by the hour.
Does this reserved instance plan support high availability and disaster recovery for queue managers?
The service documentation describes a reserved instance plan alongside high availability and disaster recovery features, including native high availability and cross-region replication for failover. Confirm which resilience capabilities apply to your Capacity Unit entitlement with the vendor, since specifics may depend on your configuration.
