This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for launch Loki OSS in minutes, secure, CIS-hardened, updated weekly, with default config ready to be used.
Prezelfy's Loki AMI provides a secure, ready-to-run log aggregation backend designed to save you time and reduce operational overhead. Built on Amazon Linux 2023 and hardened against CIS Benchmarks, this image comes with Grafana Loki OSS pre-installed, configured, and managed as a systemd service. Each AMI is rebuilt weekly to ensure the latest security patches are applied, so you can deploy with confidence. Logs are stored locally by default, with Loki listening on port 3100 for easy integration into your observability stack. Security best practices are enforced out of the box: SSH is disabled unless you attach your own key pair, system directories and permissions are locked down, and firewall rules are preconfigured for controlled Loki access. With this AMI you can go from launch to logging in minutes, without the complexity of building, configuring, and securing your own logging infrastructure.

You pay by the hour for this hardened Loki machine image, billed per running EC2 instance. The many dimensions listed are not tiers or feature levels. Each one matches a specific EC2 instance type and size, such as general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, or storage-optimized families. Your hourly software cost changes with the instance type you choose to run. Larger or specialized instances carry different hourly rates than smaller ones. You select the instance that fits your workload, and billing scales with how many hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what is included in the machine image itself?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select, billed per hour. The image runs Loki on Amazon Linux 2023, hardened with CIS Benchmarks. Prezelfy rebuilds it weekly for security patches. It comes pre-configured, so you launch and run without manual setup work.
Am I charged for the software when my instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software rate meters running time only. A stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still owe underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes while stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
How do I choose which instance-type dimension to run for my Loki workload?
Match the instance family to your workload needs. General-purpose types suit balanced use. Compute-optimized types favor processing. Memory-optimized types handle larger query loads. Storage-optimized types fit heavy log retention. The image runs on small types for testing and scales to larger ones for production.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Grafana Loki is a single-binary, horizontally-scalable log aggregation system queried with LogQL, run here monolithic on a single node with filesystem storage. Unlike bare Loki AMIs that ship the HTTP API wide open on 0.0.0.0:3100 with no authentication, no TLS, and usage analytics phoning home, this Lynxroute build is ready out of the box: a unique Basic Auth password generated at first launch, an Nginx TLS reverse proxy on 443, the Loki API and gRPC bound to localhost only, usage analytics disabled, UFW firewall pre-configured, and a CIS Level 1 hardened Ubuntu 24.04 LTS base.
