To succeed with cloud transformation clients must address not only technology but also people and process.
The Transformation Programme for Cloud service helps clients evaluate their cloud maturity across their organisation, identifies gaps, and develops a roadmap to prepare the client for transitioning their organisation to AWS.
The service leverages the proven Cloud Maturity Framework to analyse their cloud maturity across several domains, and then smoothly transitions key governance roles to the client's team through the establishment of a Cloud Business Office (CBO).
At the end of an engagement, the client will realise the following outcomes and deliverables:
- Detailed understanding of the current state of the client organisation, current maturity levels and opportunities for improvement
- The creation of a cloud roadmap to prepare people and processes for cloud transformation to help guide a programme of work to achieve the desired levels of maturity.
- Establishment of a CBO to centrally govern a consistent, effectiveness and efficient cloud user experience across a wide range of disciplines within the organisation, aiding communications and decision-making on an ongoing basis. This may or may not include assessments such as Security, Application portfolio, Cloud Economics and/or DevOps.
By adopting a standardised approach to assessing cloud maturity, establishing a clearly-defined roadmap for achieving the desired outcomes, and then putting ongoing management and governance structures in place, clients can increase the likelihood of successful AWS adoption while also putting a foundation in place that allows for ongoing consumption of AWS services
