You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, so pricing scales with the compute you choose. Options span general-purpose (t3, m5, m6i), compute-optimized (c5), and memory-optimized (r5, r6i) families, in sizes from medium through 2xlarge. Larger or more powerful instances carry a higher hourly rate. Billing is usage-based with no long-term commitment; you pay only while an instance runs. When the instance is stopped, no software charge applies for that period.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what software runs on the instance?
Each hourly unit is one running EC2 instance of the chosen type. The image bundles Redis on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, preconfigured and ready to run. You are billed per hour for that single instance while it runs. Each additional instance you launch bills separately at its own rate.
Is there a long-term commitment, or do I pay only while the instance runs?
There is no long-term commitment. You subscribe only for the time you need the image. If the instance is not running, no software charge applies for that period. Billing follows actual usage, so stopping an instance stops the hourly software charge.
Does Cloudwrxs bill me directly, and are any Redis or operating system licenses included?
You do not pay Cloudwrxs directly. Any payment is collected by the cloud provider. Where a license is required, the seller notes it in the product listing. Check the listing details to confirm what license coverage applies to your chosen instance.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Additional details
Usage instructions
Launching the EC2 Instance
1.1. Navigate to the AWS EC2 Console - Launch Instance
1.2. Select the AMI: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (x86_64)
1.3. Choose an instance type, e.g., t3.large or larger (t3.large+ for production use)
1.4. Create or select an existing SSH Key Pair:
Save the .pem private key securely
This key will be used for SSH access
1.5. Configure the Security Group:
Allow SSH (port 22) inbound access (preferably limited to your IP)
Allow Redis (port 6379) inbound access (limit by IP range for security)
1.6. Launch the instance
Connecting to the EC2 Instance
2.1. Connection Prerequisites
Ensure your SSH private key (.pem) file is available
Login user: cloud-user
The server is configured for key-based authentication only:
PasswordAuthentication no
PermitRootLogin no
SSH is available on the default port 22
2.2. For Linux/macOS Users (Terminal)
ssh -i /path/to/your-key.pem cloud-user@<EC2_Public_IP>
Replace /path/to/your-key.pem with your key path
Replace <EC2_Public_IP> with your EC2 public IP
Set correct permissions if necessary:
chmod 400 /path/to/your-key.pem
2.3. For Windows Users (Using PuTTY)
Convert .pem to .ppk with PuTTYgen
In PuTTY:
Host Name: cloud-user@<EC2_Public_IP>
Port: 22
Load your .ppk key under Connection - SSH - Auth
Accessing the Redis Server
3.1. Once logged in, verify Redis is running:
redis-cli ping
Expected output: PONG
3.2. Check Redis service status:
sudo systemctl status redis
