And pay for only what you use with optimized usage based pricing.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay based on usage, measured by API requests. Each authorization and authentication API call counts as one request unit. Your cost scales directly with how many requests your application makes. There are no separate tiers, seat counts, or instance sizes to choose. Billing rises or falls with your actual usage. This suits both low-traffic and high-traffic applications since you pay only for the requests you generate.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one request unit for billing?
Each authorization or authentication API call your application makes counts as one request. This includes login checks and permission lookups sent to the service. Every individual API call adds to your request total. There is no bundling of calls into groups.
Am I charged when my application sits idle and makes no API calls?
No. Charges accrue only when your application sends authorization or authentication API requests. If no requests are made during a period, no request charges apply for that period. Your bill tracks actual request volume, so idle time does not add cost.
Does my cost change automatically as request volume grows, or must I upgrade?
Cost changes automatically with your request volume. There are no tiers to upgrade or plans to switch. The service meters each request as it happens, so your bill rises or falls in step with usage without any manual action from you.
