AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you choose to run this remote desktop AMI. The software itself carries an hourly rate that varies across instance families, including burstable t2 and t3 types, general-purpose m4 through m7 types, compute-optimized c5 and c6 types, and memory-optimized r5 and r6 types. Within each family, sizes range from medium up to xlarge. Larger or more powerful instances cost more per hour. You add standard AWS infrastructure charges on top. You can upgrade or change instance types as your needs grow.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What resources do I get with each hourly instance rate?
Each rate maps to one running EC2 instance of that type. Instance families differ: t2 and t3 are burstable, m4 through m7 are general-purpose, c5 and c6 are compute-optimized, and r5 and r6 are memory-optimized. Sizes range from medium to xlarge, setting the vCPU and memory you receive.
Am I charged when the RustDesk instance is stopped?
The software meters running time only. When you stop the instance, hourly software charges stop accruing. You can restart it later at your convenience. Note that stopped instances may still incur standard AWS storage fees for attached volumes, which are separate from the software charge.
How do I change instance types if my usage grows?
You can upgrade the EC2 instance type or configure auto-scaling groups for higher loads. Moving to a more powerful instance changes your hourly software rate to match that instance family and size. The vendor support team can assist with scaling the deployment.

CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
