Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for a hardened, HIPAA-compliant CentOS 9 image running on the EC2 instance type you choose. Pricing has no upfront commitment; you are billed only for the hours each instance runs. The many dimensions map directly to AWS instance types, so cost scales with the instance size and family you pick. Smaller general-purpose instances like t2.nano cost less per hour, while large compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances such as g6e, p6-b200, and u7in metal sizes cost more. The software adds a per-hour charge on top of standard AWS infrastructure rates.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One hour equals one running EC2 instance for one clock hour. Each instance you launch meters its own hours separately. The rate combines the software charge for the hardened CentOS 9 image with the underlying AWS infrastructure charge for the instance type you pick.
The per-hour software charge applies only while an instance runs. Stopped instances do not accrue software fees. You may still pay standard AWS storage costs for attached volumes on a stopped instance, but the CentOS 9 license meters running time only.
Every instance size runs the same hardened, HIPAA-compliant CentOS 9 build. The vendor applies industry hardening frameworks such as STIG and NIST as a baseline. This configuration does not change with the instance type you choose; only the compute size and hourly rate differ.
