AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type where you run this software. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, from smaller general-purpose types like t2.medium and m5.large to larger compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances such as m5.24xlarge, r4.16xlarge, i3.16xlarge, and p3.16xlarge. Pricing scales with the size and family of the instance you select. Because this protects a single server, you license it per node rather than in pairs. Your hourly charge accrues only while the instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit for billing when I run this software?
You license one running instance, not a pair of servers. This product protects a single node, so you pay for each EC2 instance where the software runs. Each instance maps to its type in the table, and its hourly rate follows that instance size.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge accrues only while the instance runs. A stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply from AWS separately, but the software licence meters running time only.
Why does the price differ across instance types like t2.medium and m5.24xlarge?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type. The hourly rate scales with the instance size and family, spanning general-purpose, compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances. You select the instance that fits your workload, and the software rate follows that instance's size.
