This AMI contains CentOS Stream 9 Latest (with pytorch) and includes support.
Perform a minimal installation of CentOS Stream 9 and update it to the latest version.
OS version: CentOS Stream 9.
PyTorch version: PyTorch-2.4.
CentOS Stream 9 is a Linux enterprise-class operating system that is functionally compatible with its upstream source, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
PyTorch is an open-source machine learning library based on the Torch library. It is widely used for applications such as computer vision and natural language processing. Originally developed by Meta AI.
PyTorch is now part of the Linux Foundation umbrella. Some key features of PyTorch include ease of use, providing a flexible and intuitive interface, making it easy to build and train deep learning models; dynamic computation graph, which allows for more flexibility during model development; and a strong community and ecosystem, with a rich ecosystem of tools and libraries that support various machine learning tasks, and it is well-supported on major cloud platforms.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for this PyTorch (CPU) software running on CentOS Stream 9, billed only while an instance runs. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, so the software rate follows the hardware you pick. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated families in sizes from nano and micro up to metal and 48xlarge. Larger instances offer more CPU, memory, and storage, which raises the hourly cost. There are no tiers or upfront commitments. Vendor support is included, and you choose the instance size matching your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate on each instance type actually cover?
The rate covers the PyTorch (CPU) software license plus vendor support from Hanwei, metered per running hour. Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type. AWS charges the underlying compute separately. The software charge follows the instance size you launch.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when my instance is stopped?
The software charge meters only running hours. A stopped or terminated instance accrues no hourly software fee. Underlying AWS storage costs for a stopped instance may still apply, but those are billed by AWS, not through this software license.
Why do the hourly rates differ so widely across the listed instance types?
Each dimension is tied to a specific EC2 instance type. Larger instances add CPU, memory, and storage, so their software rate is higher. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated families. You match the size to your workload and pay only for that instance's running hours.
