Topicus KeyHub uses the free software model, so you pay no license fee. You are billed only by the hour for the AWS EC2 instance that runs the software. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type, spanning general-purpose (t2, t3, m5, m6a, m7a, m7i, m7i-flex) and memory-optimized (r5, r5a, r7a, r7i, r7iz) families in large and xlarge sizes. The larger and higher-specification instances carry higher hourly rates. You choose the instance that fits your compute and memory needs, and your hourly cost follows that selection.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The rate covers the software running on one AWS EC2 instance of the type named in that dimension. You pay per hour that instance runs. Each instance type differs by CPU and memory. The larger and higher-specification types carry higher hourly rates. AWS charges the underlying compute and storage separately.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. When you stop the instance, the software charge stops accruing. You may still pay AWS for attached storage while the instance is stopped. Restarting the instance resumes the hourly software charge.
You deploy KeyHub as a virtual appliance image that runs on your chosen EC2 instance. Your hourly cost follows the instance type you pick, not the number of users or groups. Selecting a memory-optimized type raises the rate compared with a general-purpose type of the same size.
