Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the ARM64-based EC2 instance type you choose to run this Android Automotive OS image. The dimensions map to different EC2 instance families and sizes, all on the arm64 architecture. Options include burstable t4g types, general-purpose m6g and m7g types, compute-optimized c6g and c7g types, storage-attached c6gd types, and older a1 types. Sizes scale from large up to 16xlarge and metal. Larger sizes carry more virtual CPUs and memory, so the hourly rate rises with capacity. You select the size that fits your intended workload, from basic automation to high-resolution streaming.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You can run multiple Genymotion virtual devices on a single EC2 instance. The software charge follows the instance-hour, not the number of devices. So packing more devices onto one instance does not add software charges, though larger sizes with more CPU and memory carry a higher hourly rate.
Software charges accrue while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing software charges, though attached storage (EBS) may still bill under standard AWS terms. The listing bills per hour of running time. For short sessions, check AWS per-second billing rules, which apply to eligible instance types.
Smaller sizes like t4g and c6g/c7g large fit basic automation, monitoring, and testing without graphical interaction. Mid sizes suit low-resolution video and 2D games. Larger sizes handle high-resolution streaming and 3D. The vendor recommends c6g over m6g for ARM64, since these need less memory with no translation layer.
