Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You pay for running Norsk Studio on one AWS EC2 instance of the type you select, billed per hour. The rate covers the software licence combined with that instance size. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, storage, or GPU capacity carry a higher hourly rate.
The software charge meters running hours only. When you stop the instance, the hourly software charge stops. You may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for the stopped instance, but those are separate AWS charges, not the Norsk Studio software licence.
Choose an instance that fits your processing needs. Norsk Studio captures multiple sources, encodes multiple formats, switches cameras, adds graphics, and outputs to delivery platforms. Heavier encoding or multi-source production needs more CPU or GPU capacity. GPU-focused instance types suit hardware-accelerated encoding and decoding tasks.

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Launch the AMI from EC2 Console with a Public IP and a security group that allows HTTPS traffic (TCP port 443).
Once it has launched, connect to the IP from your web browser, accept the self-signed HTTPS certificate, and log in with the username norsk-studio-admin and the instance ID for the password. For SSH access, the default user is ubuntu.
