What does the hourly charge on each dimension pay for?
You pay for vendor support of the Flask image running on your chosen EC2 instance type. Each dimension maps to one instance type, billed per running hour. To open a ticket, you supply your AWS subscription ID and the product name. The rate reflects the size and capability of the instance you select.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue this hourly rate. You may still owe separate AWS fees for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but the software charge here meters running time only.
If I switch to a larger instance type, how does my bill change?
Your hourly rate follows whichever instance type you run. Moving from a small type like t3.micro to a larger memory- or GPU-optimized type raises the per-hour charge. The change takes effect when you launch the new type. You are not locked to one size and can switch as needs shift.
