Migration to Tableau on AWS

Approach

Adastra will lead a series of discovery sessions and workshops focusing on your organization’s current business intelligence (BI) platform and infrastructure state, enterprise source systems, analytics challenges, future state goals, and analytics use cases. Following this discovery, Adastra will work with you to define a migration approach and create and execute the detailed migration plan.

Activities

• Discovery session to review existing BI platform and infrastructure
• Identify current gaps and challenges
• Identify future state goals
• Create an inventory of BI assets (reports, dashboards, alerts, etc.)
• Review source systems
• Review consumption patterns (subscriptions, ad-hoc, mobile, web, PDFs, Excel, etc.)
• Review security and governance requirements
• Review licensing and perform a cost analysis
• Review reporting portfolio and prioritize reports required for migration
• Create a high-level and detailed migration plan and align future state goals to the plan’s milestones
• Execute the migration plan, including environment setup, security configuration and training activities, among others
• Perform knowledge transfer
• Conduct a lessons learned session
