EHR Feasibility Workshop : Phase 1

OptaFi, LLC—a joint venture launched in 2022 between Infinite and Sentara Healthcare—is dedicated to modernizing healthcare environments with a secure, cloud-first, high-speed, and cost-controlled digital landscape.

Our Electronic Health Records (EHR) migration to AWS, supported by planning workshops with predefined scripts and accelerators, ensures the rapid deployment of a robust, scalable, and secure EHR environment in AWS. Our offerings address EHR-specific performance and availability requirements, with a focus on increasing business agility, reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and technical debt, and saving time and costs.

Workshop: Phase 1 When evaluating the migration of your on-prem EHR to AWS, several factors must be considered. During this half-day workshop, we will:

1. Review your configuration guide
2. Validate cloud pre-work requirements
3. Evaluate your security and compliance plan
4. Assess your presentation tier and identity access management requirements
5. Discuss BC/DR requirements in detail
6. Address post go-live considerations

Upon completing the no-charge Phase 1 workshop, Infinite will scope a Statement of Work (SOW)-based Phase 2 workshop for a deeper, more detailed, and highly customized assessment of your EHR migration planning.

Phase 2 Discovery and Analysis

1. Comprehensive assessment of existing EHR systems, encompassing production, non-production, training, and disaster recovery environments.
2. Identification and mapping of integration points with ancillary applications and systems.
3. In-depth architectural review and analysis of the current IT infrastructure, including network topology, server configurations, and data storage solutions.
4. Provision of best practice guidance and recommendations for system optimization and compliance with industry standards.

Deliverables

1. Detailed implementation roadmap, outlining phased deployment strategies, timelines, and resource allocation.
2. Technical recommendations for system implementation, including hardware and software specifications, security protocols, and data migration strategies.
3. AWS cost estimates, incorporating detailed pricing for compute, storage, networking, and additional AWS services.
4. Comprehensive migration cost estimates, covering data transfer, system reconfiguration, testing, and validation processes. These two workshops will equip you with the knowledge and tools to effectively transition your EHR environment to AWS, unlocking new efficiencies and strategic advantages for your business.
