Planet's ECR is a four-step process that gets you from zero to production in a matter of weeks, not months or years. Planet's AWS ECR is a foundational architecture with configuration recommendations that establishes an Enterprise Virtual Datacenter to support both IaaS and PaaS deployments. AWS ECR includes production deployment of the designed AWS Virtual Datacenter along with a workload migration proof of concept.
Overview
The AWS ECR is based on Planet's four-step process (Assess, Design, Build and Prove) to design and enable a well architectured virtual datacenter in AWS.
Assess
An assessment of your environment (including a completed AWS OLA), gives Planet engineers a snapshot of your infrastructure to quickly and easily identify workloads that will benefit from moving to the cloud. Planet engineers will use a combination of the environment assessment and a completed OLA output as part of our analysis.
Design
This phase includes a series of workshops that educates your IT team on the latest features, capabilities and best practices (i.e. Control Tower) of Amazon Web Services. This ensures that once those IaaS and or PaaS workloads are deployed into AWS that the team will be prepared to support and run with them.
Build and Prove
As part of the Enterprise Cloud Readiness Planet engineers will assist in migrating select workloads into AWS to establish a PoC of on-premises to datacenter lift-and-shift. Other deliverables include:

- AWS Virtual Datacenter Design Implemented
- AWS Migration Plan w/Cloud Spend Expectations
