Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for extended features and support. This AMI is provided and maintained by Imaxe.Cloud and delivers a ready-to-use, security-hardened Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) base image for production workloads that must stay on 22.04 after its standard maintenance window. Hardening applied on top of the stock image includes: restrictive kernel and network sysctl settings, blacklisting of unused filesystem and network kernel modules, nosuid/nodev/noexec mount options for /tmp, /var/tmp and /dev/shm, hidepid on /proc, a default-deny ufw firewall with SSH allowed, AppArmor profiles in enforce mode, PAM password quality and account lockout policies, SSH server hardening, auditd rules, AIDE file integrity monitoring and unattended security upgrades. Each release is verified with a Lynis security audit and an automated test suite before publication, and the audit report is published for every version. Ubuntu is an open-source operating system distributed by Canonical Ltd. Imaxe.Cloud is an independent software vendor and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Canonical Ltd.
