Mapping to Appropriate AWS Services • Service Selection and Compatibility – Determine the best AWS database services (e.g. RDS, EC2, Aurora, DynamoDB, Oracle Cloud Hybrid deployment) based on workload characteristics and business needs. • Cost and Performance Optimisation – Assess pricing models, instance types, consolidation options and storage requirements to balance cost efficiency with performance expectations.

Migration Strategy Prepare proposal for a migration strategy which would include: • Migration Approach and Tools – Choose between lift-and-shift, re-platforming or refactoring. Review appropriate migration tools, leverage AWS Data Migration Service (DMS) for data transfer. • Testing and Validation Plan – Implementation plan to conduct pilot migrations, performance testing and security validation.
