Private Survey and Research Platform by Optick is a self hosted survey and feedback workspace deployed inside your AWS account. It is designed for customer feedback employee feedback academic research field studies questionnaires and private data collection.
Built with LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 on Ubuntu 24.04 this product provides multilingual surveys branching logic quotas public survey links response review analytics and export. It is suitable for businesses research teams educators public sector programs and organizations that want direct control of their survey environment.
The Optick deployment reduces first launch work. Buyer specific first boot automatically creates a new administrator account and private database credentials for every new instance. No build administrator account survey responses or database data are carried into the buyer launch.
The platform runs with Docker Compose Nginx PHP 8.3 and MariaDB. The database is not exposed to the public internet. Launch with a public IPv4 address and use the generated first login instructions to open the administrator dashboard create surveys activate them and collect responses.
A domain is not required for first launch. For internet facing production surveys configure HTTPS with your own domain and preferred AWS or reverse proxy design before collecting sensitive information.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
