    Version 1 Data Ingestion & Integration (DII) service offers a comprehensive package that is focused on automating the provisioning and configuration of AWS services which quickly allow you to ingest data in a standardised, secure and scalable fashion. Ultimately this enables you to aggregate disparate data sources into normalised golden records that can be queried and processed.

    Overview

    The Version 1 Data Ingestion & Integration (DII) features include:

    • Support for SFTP & SMTPS3 as a data source out-of-the-box. An extendable architecture makes it straightforward to with ability to add additional data sources where needed
    • Event based triggers, with new files ingested automatically
    • Data chunking
    • Support for retries in the event of failure and & manual review of data via custom API
    • Fully secure solution with IP whitelisting capabilities and role-based access control via Cognito
    • Cloudwatch monitoring and alerting with dashboards and red/yellow alarms for various metrics such as DLQ length, lambda timeouts/usage, AWS batch ECS memory/cpu CPU usage and processing time, lambda failures, ECS failures, storage capacity etc.
