Timbr is the SQL ontology-based semantic platform used by data and BI engineers to transform data into smart knowledge graphs that power AI apps, BI and ML analytics, deliver scalable data products and apps, and enable LLM agents to confidently retrieve structured data. Timbr SQL ontologies form a virtual semantic layer that seamlessly connects to any data source, mapping physical tables, views, and fields into a unified model of business concepts, relationships, and measures. Core capabilities include visual no-code ontology modeling, an OLAP engine, data virtualization, a caching engine, graph exploration, and enterprise-grade security. Important: Customers may incur AWS infrastructure charges that are separate from this AWS Marketplace transaction. Customers are responsible for paying those charges directly to AWS.
Timbr is an ontology-based semantic layer purpose-built to power agentic AI over enterprise data. It creates a governed, machine-readable understanding of your business by modeling data as concepts, relationships, hierarchies, and rules inside a semantic graph that LLMs and autonomous agents can reason over safely and precisely. This foundation enables AI systems to plan queries, navigate complex schemas, select the right metrics, and generate high-confidence answers using enterprise-approved logic. Timbr turns fragmented warehouses, lakes, and operational systems into a unified, AI-ready knowledge layer that supports advanced retrieval, multi-step reasoning, and production-grade GenAI applications.
Timbr includes an agile semantic modeler and a powerful analytics virtualization engine that connects to one or multiple data sources across AWS, on-prem, and hybrid environments, while exposing governed access in standard SQL. Teams define metrics and KPIs once in Timbr Metric Store, making them reusable, auditable, and universally consumable by BI tools, applications, and AI services. Built-in AI connectivity delivers high-accuracy natural language to SQL (NL2SQL) over the governed semantic model, ensuring that human users and autonomous agents operate on the same trusted definitions. With broad consumption enablement through SQL, APIs, BI integration, and natural language interfaces, organizations accelerate delivery, reduce operational risk, and scale self-service analytics without sacrificing governance.
Power agentic AI and GenAI applications with Timbr ontology-based semantic layer and semantic graph, giving LLMs a governed, machine-readable view of enterprise data for multi-step reasoning, accurate retrieval, NL2SQL, and trusted autonomous analytics across AWS data platforms.
Deliver a self-serve universal semantic layer for BI and analytics, defining powerful and versatile measures in SQL, exposing governed metrics, reusable KPIs, hierarchies, and business rules through standard SQL, APIs, and natural language to tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Sisense, ensuring consistent answers and rapid adoption across business teams.
Accelerate data consumption from Amazon Redshift, Athena, S3 data lakes, Snowflake, Databricks, and operational systems using Timbr analytics virtualization engine, with built-in governance, lineage, versioning, and cross-domain modeling to produce AI-ready data products at enterprise scale.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You buy a subscription to the Timbr platform under a fixed contract. All four options include the same platform features. They differ only by concurrent query capacity, meaning how many queries can run at the same time. You choose 5, 10, 20, or 30 concurrent queries. Pricing scales with this capacity level, so higher concurrency supports more simultaneous users or workloads. Each option is priced per unit, letting you match capacity to your expected query load.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one concurrent query for capacity billing?
A concurrent query is one query running at the same time as others against your SQL ontology. Your capacity level sets how many queries can execute simultaneously. Queries beyond that limit wait until a slot frees up. Choosing 5, 10, 20, or 30 sets your simultaneous query ceiling.
What platform features are included at every concurrency level?
All four capacity options include the same features. You get the semantic modeler, data mapper, BI connectors, graph explorer, cache engine, data lineage, virtualization engine, job scheduler, and row-level security. Only concurrent query capacity changes between options, so no feature is gated behind a higher capacity level.
What happens to my cost when I need more concurrent queries?
You upgrade to a higher capacity option. Pricing scales with the capacity level you choose, so moving from 5 to 10, 20, or 30 concurrent queries changes your per-unit cost. You can upgrade your subscription from within your account. Downgrading requires cancelling and purchasing a new subscription.
