Overview
Database tuning recommendation: Based on the database workload needs, we will review the overall database and cluster parameters to maximize throughput and performance. Ensuring the database is optimally configured from parameters related to memory tuning, query tuning, database logging, performance analysis, and database connections.
High Availability review: Depends on your SLA agreements, we review and recommend the overall requirement for the High Availability set up to meet your SLA requirements. Failover strategy and auto-scaling recommendations will also be reviewed.
Identification of slow running SQLs: We analyze data from CloudWatch, Performance insights, Enhanced monitoring, and using our custom scripts to identify problematic SQL. We also review the explain plans of poorly performing queries to identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide monitoring and alerts recommendation: We will review patterns from CloudWatch and custom scripts to identify threshold values for various database counters. We also share recommendations on what all CloudWatch metrics and alerts should be set up.
Provide best practices recommendation: We will review and recommend best practices on unused indexes, missing indexes, duplicate indexes, missing primary keys, partitioning, database maintenance jobs, and RDS parameter configuration.
