TheFence UAR Plus is a next-generation, AI-powered workflow automation that assists organizations in automatically reviewing user access rights. This ensures that the right people have access to the correct information, while preventing unauthorized access.
TheFence UAR Plus is an AI-powered work-flow automation technology: an intuitive and automated user access review practice that supports line managers and data owners to make educated and accountable decisions with an AI co-pilot.
It ensures continuous audit-ready compliance, mandated by regulations such as SOX, HIPAA, GLBA, PCI, NYDFS, SOC2, or NIS2.
TheFence UAR Plus simplifies and strengthens user access reviews by automating the entire process while providing risk-based AI recommendations to support data owners in making smarter, more secure decisions.
How does TheFence UAR Plus work?
With seamless integration capabilities, user and access profile data can be automatically imported from existing systems. Alternatively, data from custom applications can be manually uploaded in CSV format. Our solution prepares and cleans the uploaded identity data (e.g., filling missing data owner details) for a streamlined process. Once the data is ready, review requests are efficiently sent to approvers for action. Comprehensive functionality is provided for the entire User Access Review process. This includes source data preparation, administration, notification, ticket creation, and post-review activities. The IT Security professional logs into their own tenant in the SaaS environment. A central management screen displays an overview of the current and previous UAR tasks. They can open a new UAR process and select which integrated systems need to be included. HR employee data with organizational data is needed and can be imported via API or uploaded from a CSV file when there is no HR connection.

Data owners are informed and can log in to see their employees data for approval. They are supported with an AI co-pilot that provides proposals for approval or denial decisions, thereby saving a significant amount of time. AI proposals are based on the users status, activity and riskiness. User removal/access modification tickets based on these decisions can automatically be generated and tracked, along with the execution of access or user removals. The IT Security professional can manage the entire process end-to-end, from initial data preparation to checking the removal of revokable accesses. The UAR process we have implemented in our SaaS solution aligns with best practices and adheres to international security standards and regulations.
Highlights
Automation: Most organizations lack the resources to regularly run access reviews and need to rely on security consultants risk assessment services. Such projects require time-consuming processes involving many departments like business, HR, Risk, IT Security, Legal and IT. With cloud computing and the explosion of access rights such manual investigations need to be replaced with cost-effective, fast, accurate and examinations.
AI recommendation: Data owners do not get enough information on the usage, risk and necessity to decide about the appropriateness of access rights. Based on such information and previous human decisions artificial intelligence recommends data owners approval, deep review or removal.
Cost Optimization: Regularly reviews of user access can decrease unnecessary licensing costs for software or services. TheFence UAR Plus helps in ensuring that only necessary access rights are allocated, reducing unnecessary expenses.

You buy TheFence UAR Plus as a contract sized by two limits: the number of identities and the number of applications reviewed. Two bundled options set fixed capacity for identities and applications. A separate option covers reviews for a Microsoft-based identity directory at a set identity count. When your application count grows past a bundle's limit, the Additional Application option lets you add applications one at a time. So your total cost reflects the base bundle you choose plus any extra applications you connect.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one identity and one application for billing purposes?
An identity is any user account reviewed, including employees, suppliers, and technical users. An application is a connected system whose access rights you review. The bundle limits count each identity and each application separately. TheFence connects to systems like HR directories and business applications to pull these users automatically.
How do the identity count and application count combine to drive my total cost?
Your cost starts with one base bundle that sets both an identity limit and an application limit. These two limits are fixed together in each bundle. If your applications exceed the bundle's limit, you add the Additional Application option per extra application. Identity capacity stays fixed by the bundle you choose.
What happens if I need to review more applications than my bundle allows?
You add the TheFence UAR Additional App option for each application beyond the bundle's limit. You add applications one at a time, so cost rises step by step as you connect more systems. The identity limit does not change when you add applications.
