Amazon EC2 running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) provides a dependable environment for deploying applications using the Microsoft SQL Server. The same core SQL Server code is used on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server through platform abstraction (SQLPAL).
