Overview
Managed Stacks - Comprehensive AWS Infrastructure Monitoring
Maintain the health and performance of your AWS environment with a fully managed monitoring service from Managed Stacks. We deliver proactive, real-time visibility into your cloud infrastructure so you can focus on building your business while we ensure your systems remain healthy, efficient, and resilient.
How It Works
Our engagement follows a structured process designed to get you operational quickly:
Phase 1 - Discovery and Assessment (Week 1) We conduct an initial review of your AWS environment to understand your architecture, identify critical resources, and define monitoring priorities. You will receive a monitoring scope document outlining what will be tracked and how alerts will be configured.
Phase 2 - Configuration and Deployment (Weeks 2-3) Our team configures monitoring across your AWS services - including Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, AWS Lambda, Amazon EKS, and supporting services - using tools such as Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail. We set up custom dashboards, define alert thresholds, and establish escalation paths tailored to your operational needs.
Phase 3 - Steady-State Monitoring (Ongoing) Once live, we provide continuous monitoring with automated alerting, regular resource utilization analysis, and monthly health reports. You receive actionable recommendations to optimize performance and control costs.
What Is Included Proactive real-time performance tracking across compute, storage, database, and networking services Automated alerting with configurable thresholds and escalation procedures Monthly infrastructure health reports with optimization recommendations Resource utilization analysis to identify waste and prevent cost overruns Custom monitoring dashboards accessible to your team Ongoing tuning of alert rules to reduce noise and surface genuine issues
Prerequisites and Scope
To deliver this service, buyers must provide: AWS account access via a least-privilege cross-account IAM role (we will provide the policy template) Agreement on which AWS regions and accounts are in scope A designated point of contact for escalation
Coverage: This service monitors AWS infrastructure-level resources. Application-level monitoring (e.g., custom application code profiling) and third-party SaaS monitoring are not included unless explicitly scoped during the discovery phase.
Use Case Example
A growing SaaS company running multi-region workloads across development, staging, and production accounts engaged Managed Stacks to gain unified visibility into resource utilization and detect configuration drift early. Our monitoring identified underutilized Reserved Instances and flagged an unplanned storage growth trend, enabling the team to take corrective action before costs escalated.
Security and Access
Managed Stacks accesses your environment through a dedicated cross-account IAM role following the principle of least privilege. We do not retain persistent credentials or access production data. Monitoring telemetry is processed securely and retained according to agreed policies.
