Blue Matador eliminates the need to manually configure alerts by instantly discovering all of your resources, automatically creating hundreds of alerts out-of-the-box and proactively notifying you of critical production issues
For time-strapped, agile tech teams, monitoring tools are too manual. Understanding baselines, fine-tuning thresholds, and examining visualizations for defects requires significant time and toil. But unlike all the other monitoring tools on the market, Blue Matador eliminates the need to manually configure alerts. Blue Matador instantly discovers all of your resources, automatically creates hundreds of alerts out-of-the-box and proactively notifies you of critical production issues...saving you considerable time and helping you deploy your application with confidence.
In less than 30 minutes of onboarding, Blue Matador automatically monitors and sets up dynamic alerts for your AWS services, including:
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay based on the number of billable compute resources that Blue Matador monitors, measured in host hours (HostHrs). Usage scales with how many hosts you run. A host counts as one virtual machine or physical server, or a group of 10 smaller resources such as functions, container tasks, state machines, shards, or pods. Where virtual machines and containers overlap, Blue Matador deduplicates and counts them once. As you add or scale resources, your billable host count rises, so your charges track actual monitored capacity over time.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
How is a host counted for serverless functions, container tasks, and pods?
For serverless functions, 10 functions count as one host, so 40 functions equal 4 hosts. For container tasks, 10 tasks count as one host. For pods, 10 pods count as one host. Each virtual machine or physical server counts as one host on its own.
Does my bill change if I scale up resources or run non-production environments?
Your billable host count rises as you add or scale monitored resources, so charges track running capacity. You can monitor test, stage, and development environments from the same account. All monitored environments and resources add to your host count and appear on the same usage bill.
Are overlapping virtual machines and containers counted twice?
No. Where virtual machines and containers overlap, Blue Matador deduplicates and charges you once for that resource. This prevents the same underlying infrastructure from inflating your host count. Billing reflects distinct monitored resources rather than every layer running on the same machine.

The SS&C Blue Prism Intelligent Automation (IA) platform is designed to automate and digitize the execution of knowledge-based work. Digital workers are deployed into business operations without disruption and work by emulating the way people use business systems, the decisions they make, and the processes they follow, to augment, replace, or digitize manual processes. Two deployment options available: You can choose for Blue Prism to host your licenses in our cloud environment on AWS or purchase the licenses here to install in your own AWS environment. To get help with creating your own AWS environment for the solution, purchase the license here and then visit our BYOL listing to run the Cloudformation template.
Blue Prism Document Automation is the most accurate recognizer for extracting printed and handwritten text from faxed and scanned, structured forms. Easy to set up, our AI detects signatures and transcribes text, numbers, and checkboxes.
An easy, faster way to automation success. Process Intelligence provides an end to end solution for process and task mining, automation and end to end monitoring. There is zero risk to get started as part of our all inclusive licensing model, integrating Process and Task Mining to the entire Blue Prism stack including our Intelligent Automation Platform, Capture, and Automation Lifecycle Management. What do you dislike about the product?
It could be more comprehensive, especially for intricate configurations or coding-related functionalities. It integrates well with many systems, expanding integration with additional tools or platforms would enhance its versatility. More flexibility in adjusting alert thresholds based on specific system needs would be beneficial.

Great for teams that don't have time/money to invest in alerting

What do you like best about the product?
It just kind of works out of the box and surfaces issues we weren't even aware we should be monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited customization options currently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our entire AWS account is primarily monitored with Blue Matador. We saved the headache of creating and customizing hundreds of alerts. Without Blue Matador it would have been a lengthy trial and error process.

Excellent, disruptive product in the APM space

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of setup, and immediate results. You can get this into your ecosystem very quickly. The functionality once it is up is very targeted, easy to assimilate into Operations, and immediately useful. Very well engineered, but also extremely cost effective as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not a full APM solution (yet). It does pair very well with the elastic.co APM stack however, and has allowed us to move off a much more expensive, cumbersome New Relic environment. While the cost is very good, you will have to account for a companion solution to handle the full stack that an APM typically covers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alerting and catching trends in our infrastructure are the key benefits. We have full visibility across our stack, from Lambdas to K8s to RDS that give us real confidence. We didn't have to setup the alerts, so there wasn't something that could have been missed in the config. It's like a warm blanket of technology protecting your stack.

Blue Matador is a great choice for smaller companies

What do you like best about the product?
Their support both pre and post-sales has been excellent. They keep in touch and ask how we are getting on with the product. They come back with responses straight away if you ask any questions . Blue Matador are actively updating their product frequently with new features and include your suggestions into their backlog. What I like most about Blue Matador is the personal service, which I think is really important for a smaller company like us. They ask about what you do and what you use cloud services for and tune their service appropriately.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cant think of anything I dislike. Its been a really good experience so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a fully monitored cloud service in terms of infrastructure, which gives us reassurance that we didn't have before because of our knowledge gap in this area.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a cloud monitoring service and if you are a smaller company that requires more support than one with more resources then I would definitely recommend Blue Matador
