Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What drives which layer I pick — record count, user count, or number of sources?
All three metrics define each layer together. You should match the layer where your record volume, user count, and source count all fit. If any metric pushes past a layer's range, you move to the layer that covers it. The layers bundle these limits rather than billing each metric separately.
What counts as a "source" and a "domain" for choosing my layer?
A source is a data system you connect for master data creation. A domain is a data subject area, such as customer or supplier data. Bronze covers a single domain with up to 3 sources. Silver and Gold cover multiple domains, with Silver at 5 to 10 sources and Gold beyond 10.
What extra capabilities does the Gold layer implementation include beyond scale?
Gold adds custom rules, a customized web application, and role-based access controls. Those controls include Admin, Approver, and Steward roles with RBAC user group management. Bronze and Silver do not list these features in their implementation scope, so they distinguish the Gold layer.
