What do you like best about the product?
DataDome gives us peace of mind, and we appreciate having an ad hoc Security Operations Center team ready to support 24/7. It’s very easy to use, low-touch once implemented, and it delivers on what it promises. We’ve found the reporting and protection much clearer and more effective than our previous bot protection solution. Most importantly, it hit our target false positive rate, which was a big success factor for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback was the implementation process, which took longer than expected due to our websites being PWAs / using service workers. Once set up, however, the day-to-day operation has been smooth and requires very little ongoing effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataDome protects our ecommerce platform from malicious bots, credential stuffing, and scraping attempts that previously impacted performance and customer experience. By filtering out bad traffic, we’ve reduced strain on our infrastructure, improved site reliability, and ensured that genuine customers can shop without disruption.

DataDome's core strength lies in its highly accurate and autonomous bot detection. The platform is widely praised by users for its "set it and forget it" nature, as it requires minimal human intervention on a daily basis. One of the most significant points of contention is the price. The platform is considered a premium, and at times, very expensive solution, with pricing starting in the thousands of dollars per month. This can be a major barrier for smaller businesses or those with limited security budgets.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to integrate at edge is very nice, leads to a simple setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the efficacy of its bot detection to lean into false positive territory quite often.
The JS library is prone to race conditions unless the datadome script is loaded extreamly early in the page, which often isnt ideal for page performance.
