AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. Rates map to the specific Arm-based (arm64) EC2 instance type you choose. General-purpose (m-family, t4g), compute-optimized (c-family, hpc7g), memory-optimized (r-family, x-family), and storage-optimized (i-family) instances are all supported. Within each family, the hourly rate scales with instance size, from small (medium, large) up to metal and 48xlarge. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates because they include more vCPUs and memory. The software runs on a per-node basis, so you pay for the running hours of each instance you launch.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or powered off?
The software meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped or powered-off instance stops accruing software charges. Underlying AWS resources, such as storage attached to a stopped instance, may still incur separate AWS fees. The per-node software charge applies only while the instance runs.
What counts as one node for billing when I run several instances?
Each running EC2 instance is one node. You pay the hourly rate for that instance type per instance. Pricing is per node, not per GPU. If you launch ten instances, you pay ten hourly charges, one for each running instance, based on its type.
What software stack do I get included in the hourly rate?
Each instance-hour includes the CIQ Linux Kernel with a pre-validated GPU compute stack, GPU drivers, and an RDMA/InfiniBand networking stack. Every package is CIQ-built and cryptographically signed, with a software bill of materials shipped alongside each image. The same stack ships on every supported instance type.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
