Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing uses a single contract-based pricing dimension measured in units. There are no public tiers, instance sizes, or usage add-ons to choose from. Instead, you agree to a custom contract arranged directly with the vendor. To set pricing, you contact the seller and receive a private offer built around your needs. Because the software is delivered as a cloud-based subscription, your terms and unit quantity are defined during that conversation. This structure fits buyers who want pricing scoped to their specific ad sales operation rather than a fixed published rate.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the platform include, and how is it delivered to my team?
You get a cloud-based subscription accessed through a web browser, with no on-premises components. It covers sales order entry, campaign management, ad trafficking, reconciliation, invoicing, and revenue reporting. The platform runs as a managed package within a supported CRM and connects to ad servers, demand-side platforms, and social platforms.
How does billing work for the ad campaigns I run through the platform?
You can bill on actual delivered ad spend plus margin, or on contracted amounts. The system reconciles first-party and third-party delivery data, then automates invoice creation. You can invoice directly with templates or export billable data to your existing finance system. Revenue reporting follows accrual-based GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
What happens to my data if I close the account?
Your data is retained as long as the account stays active. When you voluntarily close the account, the data enters an expired state and is held for 30 days. After that period, the account and related data are removed. Data at rest and in transit is encrypted.

• A professional, customized solution: Prior to PIO, our company was managing our native ads business in a glorified google sheet. It was clunky, unprofessional, and prone to human error. PIO's software has enabled us to better track, report on, manage, and execute on our media campaigns. PIO's customizable workflows that we built in the backend allow for more checks & balances, and a more standardized process, when it comes to campaign management. Custom fields are easy to create in the backend and allow us the flexibility to track the campaign information that is most important to our business.
• Improved efficiencies: PIO allows for more automations throughout the entire pitch-to-pay process, compared to our previous "system" that was quite manual. The integrations with other platforms (ad servers and our CRM) have unlocked a lot of efficiencies, such as synched campaign edits, and being able to get campaign performance directly in PIO. On the reporting side, PIO's exportable reports are easily customizable and include the ability to report on custom fields.
• Ease of implementation: The PIO implementation team was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to work with us to accommodate our expedited launch date. They were readily available throughout the entire process, and worked with us to really hone in on the best version of their solution to meet our niche business needs.
• Ongoing improvements: The PIO team puts out monthly product releases and continues to improve their platform. Also, I have found my customer success manager and my original implementation team to both be very responsive and open to feedback on the platform. I can see that they take feedback very seriously and a true benefit of PIO is that they are willing to incorporate feedback into their solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform has some small quirks with certain features, such as not being able to export more than one custom report within the same five minutes. None of these are deal breakers, more small annoyances -- and the team is very open to feedback and addressing these things so that the solutions can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PIO is benefiting us by providing a professional solution to our outdated and inefficient old process of campaign management.

What do you like best about the product?
- Placements has had a massive impact in the operations team, its removed a huge amount of burden on the team. Before we went from repetitive data entry in multiple systems to adding to a single system and automatically propagating from there. - The workflows and approval rules have almost eradicated campaign setup error along with invoice queries. - The UI is intuitive and easy to use - The team is generally responsive to feedback and willing to accommodate new features and suggestions
What do you dislike about the product?
- The main ad server we use is integrated, but the integration doesn't cover the full feature set available in the ad server. So this can complicate campaign setup on occasion, rather than simplifying it. - Small team outside of US and currently no "follow the sun" support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- cuts down on manual data entry - improves accuracy and identifies issues - speeds up processes which used to be quite time consuming - enables team to focus on other tasks

Placements.io has enabled Compulse to scale its omni-channel media services and ad tech business

What do you like best about the product?
Summary:
Compulse (A Sinclair Company) provides Sinclair and other media companies and agencies, with advertising technology and media fulfillment services for programmatic and non-programmatic campaigns. In order to cost-effectively scale the business and better support our customers needs, we initiated an RFP for a modern order management system (OMS) to help automate most of the order fulfillment process. We investigated six OMS vendors, and chose Placements.io for their industry leading integrations with different fulfillment platforms, modern tech stack, large customer references and flexibility to support our unique requirements.
PIO’s very knowledgeable and helpful Professional Services team guided us through the implementation. We integrated our media planning and order input tool with the PIO platform, using their robust APIs. We leveraged PIO’s deep integration with Microsoft Invest (Xandr) to support CTV, Display, Video and Audio campaigns. And, we’re in the process of completing integrations (via PIO) with Meta and Google Ads to support social and search campaigns.
PIO’s sophisticated Product and Packaging functionality enabled Compulse to sell simple Products upstream in our media planning tool and automatically traffic complex line items with their configurable targeting and budget allocation default settings. PIO developed functionality to automate creative assignment and also support self-serve campaign modifications via the Compulse 360 platform. The integration with Placements.io has enabled Compulse to automate most of its order fulfillment process, reducing manual effort in excess of 50%, improving time to market and significantly reducing manual errors, by as much as 60%.
With Placements.io as a partner, we are now well prepared to scale our business operationally, while providing superior service to our customers.
What I like best about Placements.io:
- Large number of integrations with fulfillment platforms - Knowledgeable and supportive professional services team - Modern technology - Flexibility to support our business
What do you dislike about the product?
- Some integrations don't support all functionality of the fulfillment platform. Placements.io was willing to add the missing functionality to support our use cases. - PIO platform requires most business logic to reside in upstream platform, as their clients have different use cases and requirements. We were able to build required logic into our media planning tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Manage all orders in a single location - Automate fullfillment for programmatic and non-programmatic advertising campaigns - Unified billing

What do you like best about the product?
It connects super well with Salesforce (SF) and Google Ad Manager (GAM)
What do you dislike about the product?
The user inteface is simple, which is usually a good thing but sometimes the UI feels a bit clunky and could use some work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Placements.io (PIO) is basically our go-to tool for managing digital ad orders. It helps keep things organized and running smoothly, which is a lifesaver for our digital planning team. It connects super well with Salesforce (SF) and Google Ad Manager (GAM). What we really like about PIO is how easy it is to push media plans from PIO straight into SF and GAM.

We have been using Placements since DSM was sunsetted by Google. It has been a great platform for booking our campaigns, and creating new products is very easy to do. Customer support is reliable at getting back to you, and our account managers have been very helpful at finding solutions or showing us new features.
