AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract covers the Named Entity Extraction API, which identifies and extracts entities like names, places, and organizations from text. Pricing has two parts. The Take Off dimension gives you a base allowance of up to 35,000 API requests per month. The Additional API Requests dimension charges for usage beyond that base. You start with the Take Off allowance, then add extra request units as your volume grows. Both dimensions bill by request count, so your cost scales with how many texts you process.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one API request for billing?
One request is a single call to the Named Entity Extraction API that submits a body of text for analysis. The API returns the entities it finds, such as names, places, or organizations. Each submitted text counts as one request, regardless of how many entities it returns.
What happens when I go beyond the 35,000 requests included in Take Off?
The Take Off dimension covers up to 35,000 requests per month. Once you pass that base allowance, the Additional API Requests dimension charges for each extra request unit. You do not lose access; usage past the base simply bills under the additional units.
How do the two dimensions combine on my invoice?
Both dimensions bill by request count. The Take Off dimension provides your base monthly allowance of up to 35,000 requests. The Additional API Requests dimension adds charges for volume beyond that base. Your total cost is the base plus any additional units used that month.
