ESET PRIVATE Scanning Solutions is a set of antimalware scanning components developed by ESET spol. s r.o., designed to detect malware, spam and phishing. It leverages two complementary scanning methods: static scanning (fast scan) and dynamic scanning (deep scan), each optimized for different threat scenarios.
By default, the solution is configured to perform static scanning using ESET PRIVATE Static Scanning Engine, which is designed to detect threats with high speed and efficiency. Scanner analyzes file source code and metadata using a combination of malware signatures detection, advanced heuristics and machine learning models. Multiple detection layers allow rapid and reliable identification of malware based on recognizable patterns and behaviors. As a result, files scanned statically are classified as clean or malicious, with a corresponding threat name and category if malware is detected.
ESET PRIVATE Static Scanning Engine is available in self deployed version at AWS Marketplace with free trial.
For deeper inspection of unknown or never-before-seen threats, ESET PRIVATE Static Scanning Engine can be extended with ESET PRIVATE Dynamic Scanning Engine (available as an optional component). ESET PRIVATE Dynamic Scanning Engine evaluates file reputation using ESET cloud-based reputation system and executes the file in a secure sandbox to observe its behavior in real-time. This behavioral approach allows detection of complex, evasive, or obfuscated threats that may evade static methods, and it generates a comprehensive behavioral report for each analyzed file.
For the most advanced threat scenarios, combining static and dynamic scanning ensures multilayered protection, delivering the speed of signature based detection alongside the deep behavioral insight of dynamic scanning.
Highlights
High scanning accuracy from 30+ years of detection innovation: ESET has been delivering consistent world class detection across known and emerging threats based on telemetry from more than 1 billion of devices.
High throughput scanning built for corporate workloads: Multithreading, autoscaling based on workload and load balancing allow large horizontal scale.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Try this product free for 30 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing uses a single usage-based dimension billed by Container Hours. You pay for each hour a protected container runs, so your cost tracks actual usage. There are no tiers or fixed quantities to select up front. Charges scale up as you run more container hours and scale down when usage drops. This model suits workloads that vary over time, since you are billed only for the hours consumed rather than a flat subscription. The scanning solution protects cloud virtual machines and workloads across supported operating systems.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one Container Hour for billing?
A Container Hour measures each hour a protected container runs while scanning is active. Each running container instance meters its own hours separately. When you run several containers at once, their hours add together. The count reflects actual run time, not the number of hosts or virtual machines behind them.
Am I charged when a container is stopped or paused?
Charges accrue only while a protected container runs. A fully stopped container does not add Container Hours to your bill. Metering tracks running time, so cost drops when containers pause and rises again when they restart. Underlying AWS resource fees are billed separately from this software charge.
What operating systems and workloads does the scanning solution cover?
The solution protects cloud virtual machines and workloads running supported Linux and Windows distributions. Exact protection features may vary by operating system distribution. You connect the scanning through the management console to virtual machines in supported cloud environments. Billing still meters Container Hours regardless of the operating system in use.

Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Deployment overview:
This product can be deployed in AWS Marketplace as a self-service container-based solution for Amazon ECS or Amazon EKS. Customers should first subscribe to the offer, review any prerequisites, and confirm they have the required AWS permissions, networking, and cluster resources in place before deployment.
Deployment follows one of two paths: Amazon EKS for Kubernetes-based environments or Amazon ECS for service-based container environments. In both cases, the customer provides the required configuration inputs, such as cluster details, security settings, and any licensing or certificate material needed by the product.
Typical prerequisites:
Before deployment, customers should have:
An active AWS account and AWS Marketplace subscription.
A prepared Amazon EKS cluster or Amazon ECS cluster.
The required IAM permissions and roles.
Networking, storage, and security configuration ready for the workload.
Any product-specific artifacts such as license files, secrets, or certificates.
High-level steps:
Subscribe to the AWS Marketplace product.
Review the deployment documentation and choose the target platform: EKS or ECS.
Create or confirm the required AWS infrastructure.
Provide the required deployment inputs, such as cluster, service, secret, or volume settings.
Launch the deployment and verify the application is running.
Complete any post-deployment validation or configuration steps.
The exact steps may vary depending on the customer AWS environment and the product configuration chosen during deployment. Customers should follow the linked guides for platform-specific requirements and use the marketplace listing only as the starting point for deployment.
