You pay by the hour for Oracle Linux 9 (Hardened), billed per running instance. The many options here are not tiers or feature levels. Underlying AWS compute, storage, and network fees apply separately and are billed by AWS, not included in this software rate.
The software rate meters running time per hour. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate AWS charges, not the software licence covered here.
