Overview
This Amazon Machine Image (AMI) provides a ready-to-use WordPress environment on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS for deployment on Amazon EC2. It includes:
- Apache2 web server
- PHP 8.x with common extensions
- MariaDB Server
- Pre-configured WordPress installation
- Hardened default security settings After launching the instance, you can access the WordPress setup wizard in your browser using the EC2 public IP address or your configured domain to complete the initial setup and begin building your website. Product limitations and dependencies:
- This AMI runs WordPress on a single EC2 instance. It does not provide automatic scaling, high availability, or backup functionality. Customers should configure these features separately using AWS services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, or Elastic Load Balancing.
- This product is a standalone WordPress environment and is not an add-on to another ISV product. It can be used independently but requires customer management for updates, monitoring, and security patching.
Highlights
- Quick deployment: WordPress ready in minutes
- Secure: Default hardened configuration
- Flexible: Supports plugins, themes, and custom PHP
