You pay based on usage across two independent dimensions. The first charges for application run time, billed per hour that your registry instance runs. The second charges for image storage, billed per GiB only above the first 1000 GiB included. So your bill scales with how long the instance runs and how much storage you use past the included amount. There are no per-user fees or egress charges; storage costs apply only when you exceed the 1000 GiB baseline.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the application run time charge actually cover?
You pay per hour that your dedicated registry instance runs. This is a managed Harbor instance operated on 8gears AWS infrastructure. The hourly meter reflects the running instance, not the number of users or repositories, so run time drives this part of your bill regardless of team size.
When do storage charges begin, and what stays free?
Your instance includes 1000 GiB of image storage at no extra charge. Storage charges apply only to each GiB above that 1000 GiB baseline. Below the baseline, you pay nothing for storage. There are no egress fees, so pulling images out does not add cost.
Which dimension usually drives the larger share of my bill — run time or storage?
Both charges bill independently and appear on the same invoice. Run time accrues continuously while the instance runs, so it dominates for smaller registries. Storage only adds cost once you push past 1000 GiB, so large image libraries shift more weight onto the storage charge.
