A host is a monitored machine, such as a physical server, virtual machine, or container instance. Each host you track counts separately. Network Monitoring bills per host, while Cloud Cost Management, Audit Trail, and Event Management bill per host per month.
Which dimension usually drives most of my bill?
It depends on your workload. Data-volume dimensions like Log Management, Infrastructure Monitoring, and Application Performance Monitoring often dominate for heavy ingestion. Per-host and per-seat dimensions scale with your fleet or team size. All active dimensions bill independently and add to one invoice.
What happens to my cost if I stop using one monitoring option?
Each dimension meters usage on its own. If you stop generating usage in a dimension, such as no page views or no traces, that dimension stops adding to your bill. There is no upfront commitment, so you pay only for what you actually use.
