Try this product free for 7 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the Oracle Linux 7 image running on the EC2 instance type you select. Each dimension maps to one AWS instance type, so pricing scales with the compute size you run. The rate spans small burstable instances like t2.nano and t3.micro through large memory-, compute-, storage-, and GPU-optimized families, up to bare-metal and multi-terabyte instances. Larger or more specialized instances carry higher hourly rates. Billing is usage-based, so you accrue charges only while an instance runs. The software fee covers the image plus 24/7 support with a 24-hour response SLA.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what minimum instance size does cloudimg recommend for this image?
Each hourly unit covers the Oracle Linux 7 software plus support running on one selected EC2 instance. cloudimg recommends t3.small with 2 vCPU and 2 GB RAM, or larger. Minimum requirements are 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM, and 20 GB disk space. You pick one instance type per running instance.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software fee meters running time only, so a stopped instance stops accruing the hourly charge. You pay the listed rate for each hour an instance runs. Underlying AWS storage and other resources may still bill separately through AWS while the instance is stopped.
What does the hourly software fee include beyond the operating system itself?
The fee covers the Oracle Linux 7 image with recent security patches and preinstalled AWS tooling for management, monitoring, and initialization. It also includes 24/7 cloudimg support with a guaranteed 24-hour response SLA. Support-related patching tools are preinstalled but may need a separate vendor subscription for full functionality.
