Instrumental's cloud platform serves as the AI-enabled backbone for companies optimizing their manufacturing processes, to accelerate time-to-market, improve yields, eliminate rework and save engineering time. This data infrastructure enables companies to dramatically reduce waste and increase product margins as they bring products to market.
Manufacturing makes up half of the world's GDP. 20% of of every dollar is wasted on things like scrap, rework, product returns, mistakes, experiments, and underutilized human resources - because simply: it's too hard to solve problems in manufacturing.
Instrumental is a Manufacturing Optimization System, designed for rapid adoption by engineering and operations team to provide tangible improvements to yield, uptime, throughput, efficiency, time to market, and end user delight. Our technology digitizes and aggregates product data, processing it with smart algorithms. We present engineers and operations teams with actionable information that enables them to optimize their product and process.
Our customers are brands and manufacturers of discrete products where quality matters, across the electronics, vehicle, and medical device industries.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing offers one pricing option: a Proof-of-Concept contract. You pay based on the volume of gigabytes (GB) captured, covering both data and image streams. Access runs for a fixed 3-month term. This is a trial-style commitment that lets you evaluate the platform before a longer engagement. Pricing scales with the amount of factory signal data you bring in during those three months. There are no separate tiers or add-ons to select — you commit to the single proof-of-concept package at your chosen data volume.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts toward the gigabytes (GB) billed during the proof-of-concept?
The GB measure covers both data streams and image streams you bring into the platform. Data streams include functional tests, measurements, and other inputs via API. Image streams include pictures from cameras, AOI, X-ray, or microscopes. All of these combine into the total volume that determines your proof-of-concept charge.
What happens to unused data or image volume during the 3-month period?
Unused data and images can roll over into the next licensing cycle. The vendor's team can also help you estimate the volume your program needs before you commit, so you can size the proof-of-concept package to your production output.
Does the proof-of-concept require me to upload both data and images?
No. You can upload both, only data, or only images based on your needs. Uploading both gives the most insight, but the platform still works when you supply just one stream type. The GB volume you commit to covers whichever streams you choose to bring in.
