The Gen AI in the Cloud product leverages the key components of AWS Bedrock and relies on deep integration with core AWS services:
Foundation Models (FMs) and API: Provides a unified, fully managed API gateway for instant, secure access to a diverse catalog of pre-trained FMs. This eliminates the operational overhead of managing different vendor interfaces.
RAG via Knowledge Bases: Utilizes Amazon S3 and Amazon OpenSearch Service/Vector Databases to securely ingest and index proprietary data. Knowledge Bases use RAG principles to retrieve information and ground the FM's response, ensuring context and minimizing hallucinations.
Security and Compliance: Enforces Guardrails (policy-based filters) and ensures data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Bedrock operations fall within the scope of major compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
Agent Orchestration: Agents for Bedrock handle complex, multi-step tasks by integrating the FM with external AWS Services (via Lambda functions) and providing memory management via AgentCore Memory and deployment via AgentCore Runtime.
Cost Optimization: Includes features like prompt caching and smart routing to reduce latency and lower costs, aligning with best practices in FinOps applied by the RealCloud team."
