This contract carries two usage-based dimensions billed by units. The Documents dimension counts the documents you process through the platform. The Module usage dimension charges for the specific modules you use, such as reconciliation and search. These dimensions work independently, so your cost reflects both your document volume and which modules you activate. As your document count grows or you enable more modules, your usage scales accordingly. This structure ties spending to actual processing activity rather than a fixed seat or flat fee.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one document for the Documents dimension?
A document is one file processed through the platform, such as an invoice, purchase order, delivery note, receipt, or contract. The platform reads and extracts data from each file. Each file you run through processing counts as one document, regardless of the language used.
How do the Documents and Module usage charges combine on my bill?
Both dimensions bill independently and appear together. The Documents dimension charges by the number of files processed. The Module usage dimension charges for the modules you activate, such as reconciliation and search. Your total reflects both your document volume and which modules you turn on.
What happens to my cost if I activate more modules or process more documents?
Cost scales with activity. Adding modules like reconciliation or search increases the Module usage charge. Processing more files increases the Documents charge. The two move independently, so you can grow document volume without adding modules, or add modules without changing volume.

Frequent inaccuracies in data extraction make it unreliable

What do you like best about the product?
I think, the main good thing about Staple was its speed and convenience. Placing documents and starting the process of data extraction is very fast and it is easy to see what kind of data is being processed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are certain fields that are very important to my workflow and I have had frequent errors with. For example, the problems with the extraction of the product descriptions and the line item details on the invoices make me verify everything on my own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staple has undoubtedly made it easier for me to process a part of my documents. The time saved in uploading documents, though, the need to manually verify all of them due to extraction issues takes away part of the gain.
