Data Science and Metadata Providers utilize EIDR to validate and normalize the data that they collect and provide to their customers. Software Developers use EIDR data to disambiguate multiple data sets into a single golden record. Content providers, studios and distributors contribute to the EIDR registry. Media distributors utilize EIDR ID's and associated metadata to distribute on direct to consumer platforms. About EIDR
EIDR (Entertainment ID Registry) is a unique identifier system for audio and video content, designed to provide a standard way of identifying and tracking works across the media supply chain. EIDR is an open, non-profit, industry-funded organization that assigns unique identifiers to movies, TV shows, and other audiovisual works, as well as the associated video assets (e.g., trailers, clips, and extras). You buy access to the EIDR Registry Mirror through a single contract dimension, Product Access (Units). This is a subscription grant that enables you to use the product. Billing runs annually on your anniversary date. Access covers registry search, ID creation, and API use as part of your participation. There are no per-ID or per-query fees within your subscription. You select the unit quantity for your contract, and pricing follows that quantity. This one dimension defines your access, so there are no separate add-ons or usage tiers to layer on top.
