INFIO is designed to streamline and automate the end-to-end migration assessment and execution process, ensuring a smooth and secure transition from complex enterprise systems to cloud-native environments. The solution now includes comprehensive assessment and migration capabilities for moving from Microsoft SQL Server to Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and Schema Conversion Service, identifying schema compatibility and conversion requirements, as well as provisioning migration resources and managing the full process from build to migrate to deploy.
It also supports specialized assessments for migrations to Babelfish for Aurora PostgreSQL, evaluating T-SQL compatibility and surfacing unsupported features to aid in planning hybrid or phased transitions. In addition, INFIO assesses .NET Framework applications for compatibility with .NET Core, providing insights into modernization paths and required code changes.

CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Release 4.1 of INFIO comes with a comprehensive set of enhancements including fully revamped the frontend UI, moving from React to Next.js for improved performance, enhanced pre-deployment page to streamline and simplify resource creation workflows, rebuilt deployment functionality by cloning the Babelfish Deployment Utility, replaced all PowerShell scripts with fully Python-based scripts integrated into the Next.js UI - improving cross-platform support and maintainability. New version of INFIO also comes with added multiple options to extract source server object structure, convert objects into Babelfish-compatible format and deploy converted scripts to the target server running Babelfish PostgreSQL. Among the enhancements there is ability to start and monitor AWS DMS migration tasks directly from the UI, view DMS task logs in real time, automates deployment of migrated elements, objects, and related configuration once migration completes, as well as feature for generating the assessment report, now exports a comprehensive ZIP package containing migration report and server metadata with configurations.

Usage instructions
To connect to the INFIO EC2 instance , use RDP and the username Administrator. Application is GUI based and contains necessary instructions to operate. During the deployment of the INFIO tool on an EC2 instance using CloudFormation, it is essential to create an IAM Role and IAM Policy. These are required to enable the EC2 instance to securely interact with various AWS services, such as S3, Secrets Manager, and KMS, for secure file operations including encryption and decryption.
