Each rate covers one xlarge instance of the named EC2 family, billed per hour it runs. You pay for a single instance at a time. Running more instances means each one meters separately. The software charge applies for every active instance-hour, on top of the underlying AWS compute cost.
The software fee meters running instance-hours. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. You may still pay AWS for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but that is separate from this software's metered running time.
The software includes AI-enabled image analytics and machine-learning classification for satellite and aerial imagery. GPU (g-series) and accelerator (inf-series) instances speed those image-processing tasks. General-purpose (m-series) or compute-optimized (c-series) instances suit lighter workflows. Each carries its own hourly rate, so match the instance to your processing needs.

The following steps outline how to launch a CATALYST Professional AMI: 1 - On the CATALYST Professional product page select Continue to subscribe. 2 - Accept the EULA and subscribe to the product. 3 - Select Continue to Configuration. 4 - Adjust the configuration as required. 5 - Select Continue to Launch to quick-launch the specified EC2 instance.
