AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.1 with support from the vendor. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you run. Pricing scales with instance size and family. Smaller shared instances cost less per hour, while larger compute-, memory-, storage-, and accelerator-optimized instances and bare-metal options cost more. You pick the instance that fits your workload, and billing follows actual hourly usage. There is no upfront commitment; you only pay for the hours you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly rate on each instance type?
You get a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.1 virtual machine image running on the AWS EC2 instance type you select, plus support from the vendor. The rate covers the software licence and support. AWS charges the underlying compute, storage, and network separately.
Am I charged the software rate when my instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running instance-hours. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. You may still pay AWS for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but the vendor's software and support fee applies only while the instance runs.
Does my hourly cost change if I switch to a larger instance type?
Yes. Each instance type is a separate billing dimension with its own hourly rate. If you move to a larger or different-family instance, billing follows the rate for that instance for the hours you run it. There is no automatic tier upgrade; you choose the instance.
