Palette is built for regulated and security-sensitive environments: SOC 2 Type II certified (Palette Enterprise SaaS) ISO 27001:2022 certified FIPS 140-3 validated (Certificate #5061, independently assessed by Corsec) FedRAMP 20x Low ATO via Palette VerteX; FedRAMP Moderate In Process, sponsored by the U.S. Army Additional: UK Cyber Essentials Plus, TX-RAMP, GovRAMP Member, CIS SecureSuite Granular RBAC with SSO integration and namespace-level access controls Penetration testing, conformance testing, and security scanning Secure remote access for distributed environments Air-gapped and isolated deployment support for classified workloads Palette VerteX is the first and only multi-environment Kubernetes management platform to achieve this combined level of federal security validation
Use Cases
Edge Computing at Scale (Retail, Manufacturing, Telecom): Manage hundreds or thousands of edge Kubernetes clusters across distributed locations with zero-touch onboarding, immutable software images, and local operations interfaces. One manufacturing customer reduced cluster build time from 2 weeks to 20 minutes. Government and Regulated Industries: Run classified and sensitive workloads with FIPS 140-3 validated cryptography, FedRAMP authorization, and support for secret and top secret GovCloud environments. Trusted by U.S. military branches for mission-critical deployments.
Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Modernization (Healthcare, Enterprise IT): Consolidate Kubernetes management across AWS EKS, on-premises data centers, and edge locations. A healthcare organization is tracking toward 40% reduction in Kubernetes operating costs in its first year.

Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You commit to annual capacity, measured in kilo-Core-hours (kCh). One kCh reflects worker CPU cores managed, multiplied by time. Pricing splits into two tracks: IaaS Kubernetes for clusters you run yourself, and Managed Kubernetes for cloud-managed services, which are billed at a different rate. Within each track, six tiers scale by yearly commitment, from 0 up to 59,999.99 kCh. Higher tiers move from Standard to Pro to Premium support. Each track also offers a No Tier option, priced per kCh with no capacity commitment, for usage of 1+ kCh.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What exactly is a kilo-Core-hour (kCh) that my commitment is measured in?
A kCh counts the worker CPU cores managed by the platform, multiplied by time. For example, a 4-node cluster with 16 cores each, managed for one day, equals 4 x 16 cores x 24 hours = 1.54 kCh. Your usage totals across the year against your committed tier.
Why are IaaS Kubernetes and Managed Kubernetes billed at different rates?
IaaS Kubernetes covers clusters you run yourself. Managed Kubernetes covers cloud-managed services, where your cloud provider already handles some cluster infrastructure management. Because of that overlap, the Managed Kubernetes track is priced at a different rate for those clusters.
What happens if my usage rises above my committed tier mid-term?
There is no minimum spend, and higher usage earns discounted rates. If usage increases during the term, a 'true forward' method corrects pricing for later billing periods. There are no retroactive clawbacks on prior periods. The No Tier option prices per kCh without any capacity commitment.
