Collecting nationwide school performance data is notoriously difficult. Each state publishes in different formats — Excel spreadsheets, SAS files, massive PDFs, difficult-to-navigate websites. SchoolDigger has been doing this work since 2006, continuously monitoring all 50 state data sources and normalizing everything into one consistent data set.
