What does the hourly charge for each instance dimension actually cover?
Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type. You pay the listed software rate for every hour that instance runs RDRS. The rate reflects the instance's compute, memory, and storage class. AWS infrastructure charges for the instance are billed separately from this software rate.
Am I charged when the instance running RDRS is stopped or powered off?
The software rate meters running hours only. When the instance is fully stopped, hourly software charges stop accruing. Attached storage may still incur underlying AWS fees even while the instance is off. Restarting the instance resumes the hourly software charge.
If I switch to a different instance type, does my hourly rate change automatically?
Yes. Your charge follows whichever instance type you run RDRS on. Moving to a machine with more compute, memory, or storage changes the hourly rate to match that dimension. There is no separate upgrade step; the rate applies to the instance you launch.

Data are released using simple cylindrical (planetocentric positive East, center longitude 0, -180 - 180 longitude domain) or a pole centered polar stereographic projection. Data are projected to the appropriate IAU Well-known Text v2 (WKT2) represented projection.
